Field momentum and gyroscopic dynamics of classical systems with topological defects

چکیده
The standard relation between the field momentum and the force is generalized for the system with a field singularity: in addition to the regular force, there appears the singular one. This approach is applied to the description of the gyroscopic dynamics of the classical field with topological defects. The collective– variable Lagrangian description is considered for gyroscopical systems taking into account singularities. Using this method we describe the dynamics of two– dimensional magnetic solitons. We establish a relation between the gyroscopic force and the singular one. An effective Lagrangian description is discussed for the magnetic soliton dynamics. PACS numbers: 11.10.Ef,75.10.Hk,03.65.Vf,05.45.-a

Dynamical Behavior of a Rigid Body with One Fixed Point (Gyroscope). Basic Concepts and Results. Open Problems: a Review
The study of the dynamic behavior of a rigid body with one fixed point (gyroscope) has a long history. A number of famous mathematicians and mechanical engineers have devoted enormous time and effort to clarify the role of dynamic effects on its movement (behavior) – stable, periodic, quasi-periodic or chaotic. The main objectives of this review are: 1) to outline the characteristic features of...
متن کاملTopological Defects on the Lattice I: The Ising model
In this paper and its sequel, we construct topologically invariant defects in two-dimensional classical lattice models and quantum spin chains. We show how defect lines commute with the transfer matrix/Hamiltonian when they obey the defect commutation relations, cousins of the Yang-Baxter equation. These relations and their solutions can be extended to allow defect lines to branch and fuse, aga...
متن کاملDefect Formation and Critical Dynamics in the Early Universe
We study the nonequilibrium dynamics leading to the formation of topological defects in a symmetry-breaking phase transition of a quantum scalar field with λΦ4 self-interaction in a spatially flat, radiation-dominated FriedmannRobertson Walker Universe. The quantum field is initially in a finitetemperature symmetry-restored state and the phase transition develops as the Universe expands and coo...
متن کاملMomentum Transfer Rate Constants for Collision of Cl-with Trans-Dichloroethylene and Para-Difluorobenzene
A classical theory is developed which calculates the momentum transfer rate constant between an ion and a non-polar molecule. The model takes into consideration the effect of diffraction outside the capture limit on the rate constants. The theory is used to calculate momentum transfer rate constant for Cl- with trans-dichloroethylene and para-difluorobenzene. Theoretical results ...
